(54) DEVICE FOR GAS CLEANING
The invention relates to apparatus for the catalytic purification of gases and can be applied in the treatment of exhaust gases of engines in order to reduce atmospheric pollution.
Devices for gas cleaning are known, which consist of an elongated body, inside of which a catalyst is placed and which is closed on both sides with lids having fittings for gas inlet or outlet. In these devices, parts of the catalyst are applied to the surface of the carrier, to which body shaped and made from chemically and catalytically inert, hard, solid and heat resistant materials C13.
Such a catalytic element as a whole represents an insert that must be protected from longitudinal, lateral and rotational movement in order to avoid damage to it.
The closest to the present invention is a gas purification device, including means for preventing rotational, transverse and longitudinal movement of the insert inside the housing, reducing the risk of the insert being destroyed from collisions with the housing or its flaps 2.
A disadvantage of this device is that in it the means limiting the longitudinal movement of the insert cannot prevent small longitudinal movements caused by vibrations and jolts, which reduces the reliability of the device in operation due to the possible destruction of the end surface of the insert.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of the device in operation.
The goal is achieved by the fact that a gas purification device comprising a housing with lids, a ceramic catalytic insert of a frame structure located in the housing, bounded from transverse and longitudinal mixing, a fitting for introducing and removing gases located on the covers, and a flange inserted inward housing and located around the perimeter of the catalytic end of the 397 insert, equipped with a toroidal-shaped compensator, clamped between the flange of the cover and the end of the catalytic insert and made in the form of a bundle of wires and, the ratio of volumes of which before and after assembly is selected in the range from 1.1 to 2. Additional improvement of the reliability of the device in some possible embodiments is achieved by placing a gasket between the compensator and the TOD of the insert, as well as installing an annular part between them, C - sectional section yi, the horizontal shelf of which is directed towards the lid, or the flange of the L-shaped section, the horizontal regiment of which is directed towards the insert. FIG. 1 shows a device for gas cleaning, an incision; in fig. 2-7 are versions of a unit for placing a compensator between the flange of the cover and the insert; in fig. 8 is an example of an implementation in a knotted wire mesh for making a compensator. The device consists of a body 1 with covers 2 and 3, a catalytic insert 4 which is kept from mechanical and thermal shocks by means of a grooved sleeve 5. On covers 2 and 3 there are fittings for input 6 and output 7 gases, as well as the flanges 8, inserted into the body and located along the perimeter of the insert 4. 5 the device is equipped with a compensator 9 made of wire 1O. The embodiments include flange 8 or ring part 11 with a horizontal shelf 12 and 13, respectively, as well as placing the gasket 14 between the compensator and the end of the catalytic insert. In any embodiment, the said parts collectively form a groove in which the compensator 9 is clamped.
The device works as follows.
During operation of the device, gases to be cleaned by a catalytic converter, such as engine exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine, pass through fitting 6, cover 2, the channels of the catalytic insert 4, cover 3 and leaving through fitting 7. In this case, the gas mixture contacts the catalyst at 15070 ° C5 and airborne contaminants are oxidized to less harmful gases, such as CO2. and hjo.
The torch and the end face of the insert are fitted with an L-shaped ring section, the horizontal butt of which is directed towards the face of the inner side of the compensator.
5, the Device in PP. 1-4, characterized in that the ratio of the volumes of the compensator before and after assembly
selected from 1.1 to 2,
